Installation Instructions:

For Windows ‘95, ‘98, 2000, ME, NT, and XP - double left click on the Daycare.exe file that you downloaded from the internet to your desktop.

The following screens will appear:









                                                                     Click on the Next> button.

The following screen will appear:
    




This is the License Agreement and
copyright notice.  Please read this
carefully.  If you agree with the terms and conditions, click on the Yes  button.  If you do not agree with the terms and conditions click on the No button.  If you need to return to the previous screen
click on the <Back button.

If you click on the Yes button, the following screen will appear.





The user information screen is requesting your Name and Company name.  The Name and Company name being displayed is the default taken from your windows setup.  If it is correct, click on the Next> button.  If not type in your name and your company’s name and click on Next>.

The following screen will appear:







You may change the default directory by clicking on the Browse button and selecting the desired folder.  Unless a conflict is caused by installing to C:\DayCare, click on the Next>  button.

The following screen will appear.
    



Typical - is a complete installation.  It will install the program files, help files, windows system files, and sample data files.

Compact - is a partial installation.  It will install the program files, help files, and the windows system files only.

Custom - will allow you to choose which parts to install.  It will display a screen from which you can choose which sections to install.

If you are installing the DEMO copy, use the Typical installation. The installation process is designed to *NEVER* overwrite data files.  You man choose the Typical Installation every time if you like.  The only reason you should ever reinstall the program is if stops running correctly.




The installation program will install the icons in any group that you desire.  The default group is Day Care Manager.  You may choose ANY group that you wish by selecting the group with the highlight bar, or you may type the desired name in the Program Folders entry field.  Unless Day Care Manager causes a conflict, select it by clicking on the Next button.

The following screen will appear:






The information displayed on the screen is an overview of the Current Settings of the installation.  If anything is incorrect, you may click on the Back button and make the desired corrections otherwise click on the Next button.

The Progress screen will appear and indicate which files are being copied.  When it has finished copying files the final screen will appear.
   





Click on Finish and that will conclude the installation process.
 
 
 
To launch Day Care Manager click Day Care Manager icon on the desktop.
